I'm Ashtyn!
I'm married to my wonderful husband, Spencer. We have loved each since spring of 2015. You can find us taking our three kids on adventures, family night Mario Party, and when the kids are sleeping, we are playing guitar, piano and singing together. We both grew up in WA and will forever call it home!

My journey into photography started as a little kid with my own family albums. For five lovely years of my childhood my family did foster care and we had several kids come in and out of our home. Some only stayed for a few days in between placements, while others stayed for years and became apart of our family. Sadly that journey ended for my family all I had left of my siblings were their photographs and my few tender memories. Greif was hard to navigate as a small child and looking back, I turned to my photographs for comfort, belonging, and to connect to a time where I felt seen and had my whole family. This very small part of my life has stuck with me and created little moments in my life that has lead me straight to being a newborn and family photographer.

Once I became a mother, I turned to photography again as a comfort to heal from postpartum depression. Having their photoshoots to look forward to, and planning their little outfits and set ups, really gave my a purpose outside of raising them. By the time my third was born, I took on the challenge of taking the photos myself, and that's when I discovered my talent that made me feel at home.

Consult
Personal meeting with me to go over your questions, pick the right art work for your home, and set up your dream session. This can be done over phone, although I prefer at your own home so we can walk your walls together and create the perfect gallery. We will also go over outfits, color scheme, location of studio, and any other questions you have or anything you want to add to your session. I also have a client wardrobe in neutrals and earth tones for sizes newborn- kids medium, available at any session.
Capture
The fun part! Photographing your special celebrations is truly amazing to me. In addition to the moments that we plan on capturing, I also love to include detail shots. For me, the wrinkles on a newborns back, their pouty lips and tiny fingers and toes are the most heart warming because our babies stay little for such as short time. During our session I will take the lead with guiding your family through a variety of prompts to fully capture your families love.
Create
After your session I will create an unedited online proofing gallery for you to pick the images that you cannot live without. Once you complete this task, I will perfect your images and turn them into breath taking art for your home and loved ones to adore. Every package includes web size images to share on social media, or to extended family via phone, not intended for printing. All products are printed through professional printing companies hand selected by me to ensure qualtity and satisfaction.
